Emergency workers rescued a cow on Friday who had been stranded in flood waters for two days in the northern Turkish town of Bozkurt.
The animal was lying exhausted in the water. Rescue workers approached him and put ropes around him. The cow was lifted with a crane and brought to safety, Istanbul municipality (IBB) officials told Reuters.
The floods, among the worst Turkey has experienced, brought chaos to northern provinces, destroying homes and buildings.
Triggered by extreme rain, the floods came right after authorities said the wildfires, raging through Turkey for the past two weeks, were under control.
