Why are we still transporting animals by sea? (INTERVIEW)

The cows who were stuck on the Karim Allah and Elbeik for months, the ships blocked at the Suez Canal with live animals, we’ve seen extremely horrible images and videos, but still the market continues. Why? And who’s to blame?

We talked to Olga Kikou, head EU office at Compassion in World Farming, who explained that the European Commission is the one responsible and has the power to stop these horrific transports from happening, but for now, they won’t.
