The Animal Reader Talkshow: 40 Years of PETA with Ingrid Newkirk

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) celebrated their 40th anniversary. PETA is an international animal rights organization with more than 6 million supporters.

With their slogan “Animals are not ours to experiment on, eat, wear, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way” they’ve been fighting against speciesism.

The Animal reader talked to the founder of PETA, Ingrid Newkirk, about the past 40 years, the younger generation and the future of animal rights activism.
