Bangkok has entered the top 10 of the friendliest cities in the world for vegans. Number one for the second year in a row is London. Online vegan restaurant guide Happy Cow makes the list every year.

With 42 vegan restaurants, Bangkok comes in at number eight. In the past years, the number of purely vegan restaurants has grown substantially in Thailand. They even have a vegan delivery service and two vegetarian restaurants.

Ten years ago, there were 625 fully vegan restaurants on HappyCow; today, there are over 8100 vegan restaurants worldwide on their site.

Their top 10 list is determined by the number of vegan restaurants close to each other, the number of vegan options in a restaurant close to each other, the number of vegan restaurants compared to the population and the number of vegan festivals, meetups and strength of the vegan community.

With 152 vegan restaurants and around 600 thousand vegans, London tops the list. Pizza, burgers, fried chicken, sweets, you can find almost everything in the capital of England. They even have a plant-based cheese shop, La Fauxmagerie.

Right after London you find New York City with 111 vegan restaurants, Berlin with 62, Los Angeles with 49 fully vegan restaurants, Toronto, Warsaw, Portland, Tel Aviv and Prague.
