Asia’s largest green film festival starts today in New Delhi

Grammy Award-winning composer and environmentalist Ricky Kej is the main guest at the 10th CMS Vatavaran Environment and Wildlife Film Festival. The festival that aims to create awareness on wildlife and the environment, starts today in the capital of India.

The theme this year is Celebrating Himalayas to highlight the importance of the spectacular mountain ecosystem. In total, 1020 film were submitted for the festival. After a heavy selection, 77 films were nominated in 9 categories; 45 Indian and 32 international movies.

The four-day-festival will showcase all the 77 nominated film in addition to the film premiers of Wild Karnataka by Kalyan Varma and Turtle by Dinesh S Yadav.

There will be an interactive session with Ricky Kej and masterclasses on Green Film Making by former award winners. The festival is held at Dr. Ambedkar International Center.
